is that ok to feed my oscar i bought the flakes for my sons tank and didnt read the label >.< lol

You can, but not exclusively. Oscars are highly susceptible to malnutrition. They are definitely feed him some, but pond pellets have vegetable matter in them, which oscars don't need. Ideally, return the pond pellets and swap for cichlid/oscar pellets.
You can also feed him worms, shrimp, beef heart (seldomly).

pond pellets come in different forms, most pond pellets dont have enough protien to keep an insectivore healthy, i would only use it as a treat. and not at all if its wheat germ pellets, i have never seen an oscar int he wild eating wheat

Sure, there are really very few differences in most prepared foods, that's why it's so important to offer a variety in a fishes diet. Assuming he can eat them (don't know what size he is) they certainly won;t hurt him in the least. Do plan on adding a few other foods to his diet though. Depending on his current size that could be anything from bloodworms and brine shrimp to earthworms and crickets.
