Hi, If your needs are not greedy or excessive, I have found I have had more than I expected out of life. I have more money than I need to keep me comfortable, yet I am not what is considered wealthy. I have good health, and keep very active for my 65 years with no limping or other elderly symptoms. In fact I still ride a 650 ltd Kwacker Ltd, and a 250/4 Suzy racer, and have just rebuilt a mini special single handed. I am very active in model airplanes, still work on lorries despite being retired. I have had and done everything I wanted to do. But the proudest thing I have is the knowledge that I am no ones slave and more importantly, no ones master. I answer to no man, I have no debtors owing me, I sleep in peace and awaken ready to help my fellow men. My guide is my sense of right and wrong, and my gaffer, bless her, is the woman I have loved for ever. You tell me if I have what I want from life. If there is something lacking I have never ever noticed it.

It's a matterof focus. Yes I have always gotten what I wanted and I also have gotten what I did not want, except if I had a belief that was unwilling to get out of the way. Try an experiment. Think of something you would like right now. ie it could be to talk to a friend. Start writing on a piece of paper who it is, what you would like to talk about and such details. Fold it and file it. Or you just think of a restaurant you haven't been to for a while, write down what you liked about it and who you would like to go with. Put down as much detail as you can and visualize what it was like last time. Anything that you would not expect to materialize normally but as odd as possible so that you would recognize the event as proof of your ability to create. Have fun with it. Hope you don't mind my hitch-hiking on to your question, but I couldn't very well just say YES. There are a few good movies out now that explain all this as listed below.

From my own much longer experience, I'd say absolutely not.
You always end up with a part, and of "what you'll settle for".
The only way logically to get exactly what you want is to know on a category level all the working parts, criteria, value-levels involved in what you want --and then see if that's realistic for you.
Then you'll still have to do all the steps exactly right, in sequence.
And you have to get permission to do each of these steps, to receive some backing or capital invested in you along the way, to have time for this as a sideline at first, and to work yourself sick and then to hope no one interferes with or messes up what you want.
Sorry to say so; but the answer to your question in a country as messed up as the US is, which is bureaucracy-ridden and full of petty government and corporate dictator types, for my money is --"The answer is "you can never have what you want, not if it's important, and no more than 3% of people ever will--even if they get lucky"."

On some rather amazing level you have summoned everything you have in your life. Whether or not you have done this consciously is something else again. The answer to your question is no, but you can become very comfortable learning how to make good use of everything you do have in your life.

my personal experience is that there are times you don't know what you really want, but if you pursue it sometimes you get it but other times you find something you would rather have instead so you leave the first thing behind to pursue the new thing. basically if it's something you really want, and you're willing to work for it then yes, in most cases, I believe it is possible to end up with it

Good question...
Well I'm a strong believer in destiny and I believe if something is meant to be mine, or something is meant to happen to me - then YES I will get what I want out of life in the end.

I believe in order to achieve things and get what you have always hoped for in life you need to work for it and believe in your ability to get it. Some people are lucky and have things handed to them on a plate, but I feel in order to really appreciate what you have you must strive for it and one day you will achieve it. Money, possessions and success are nice but love, wisdom and friendship are far more important.

no, but i always remain positive and to work hard to my fullest potential. as i turn 26, i realise that although i will not get everything in life and not everything will go my way, especially as the years progress, i have to make the most out of the opportunities that are made avaliable and of which are presented in front of me. life is short but as others have said, life is what you make of it- and i intend to do exactly just that, up until i pass away
