High school sucked. It starts at 7:30 in the morning or so. You have to take (in my area) 4 years of English, 3 years of Science, 3 years of Math, 3 years of PE, 3 years of History and electives. Where I am at each class each semester is 5 credits, you need 230 to graduate here. Some places have 0 period available that starts at 6:30 am usually. Where I went we had band, drama, art, farm, dance, ceramics...all sorts of electives. We had regular, honors, and AP classes. For PE some schools allow you to take ROTC or band in it's place. My school also offered aerobics and weightlifting. Teachers are generally nice. Every now and then you get one with a hair up his butt about something. Students are evil. They make fun of your name, clothes, hair, who you date, etc. They're just evil. The food sucks. It's full of fat and carbs, no real protein to keep you from starving by 6th period. We didn't have a cafeteria to sit in; just a pavillion with a TON of picnic style tables. High school doesn't have homeroom, that's just middle school/junior high. Showers are generally NOT taken- if PE is last you can leave school in your PE clothes! Cool!

To fit in in HS you got to be confident, but not cocky; dress normal but not crazy, and don't be too dramatic. It's not a turn on to hear someone shouting from accross campus- and people don't REALLY care what you have to say anyway.
Good luck!!!

Hey. It's been a few years since I was in high school, and I'm sure things have changed a lot. I do know that some schools are better than others, and there are going to be some nice people and some "bullies" in any school you attend. Also, the first step to having others like you is to like yourself. That doesn't mean to get the "big head" and start bragging about yourself. Just be nice to other people, but if some of them don't respond, don't let it get you down.

High school can be a good or bad experience, but sometimes it's just what you make it. I hope it's a great one for you.
