theres no such thing as modern "pop punk emo"
real emo is underground.. so theres no chance of it being pop(ular) music. and, emo died in the early 90s, meaning youll probably never hear a modern emo band. sorry :(
and for future references, theres no need to write emo punk/punk emo, since emo IS punk. hardcore punk acutally. but dont get confused with what the guy above says. emo is not a subgenre, though it roots came from hardcore punk. and emo rock isnt a genre, nor a subgenre of emo. the only subgenre emo has is screamo.
