The next Calle 8 Festival is March 11th, 2007. It's a crazy block party when they shut down SW 8th Street (thus the Calle Ocho title) in the Little Havana section in Miami. It's insane, but I highly recommend that if you're in the area around then, swing by Calle Ocho and party with the natives!

SW 8 STREET is known for hookers and prostitutes ... stay away at night !!! on ly if there is an event like the block parties which are fun .. but a little cheasy!!! oh yea and if you drive east on southwest 8 street you get to downtown !!

If you mean "ocho" it means "eighth street"
