Ask what kind of sandwich she'd like, give her some choices. Peanut butter sandwich or tuna. Apple or banana or an orange. Pudding or jello (don't forget the plastic spoon). Graham crackers or potato chips. Juice box or bottle of water. Granola bars, fruit roll-ups, string cheese, yogurt, cookies, twinkies. Don't pack a lot of things, as they probably won't end up eating a ton, nor do they have a ton of time at school to eat it.

For mine, I usually pack: Sandwich, some sort of a fruit (apple, orange, grapes), chips, some kind of a snack (cookies, etc...)...I usually have them help if they want anything else, just make sure to have a little bit of a variety.
