You can't. The iPod was designed to work explicitly with iTunes as a content management system.

The Ipod won't let you use Windows Media Player. ONLY ITUNES. Its an Apple Product.

You cannot use windows media player you will need to use itunes to delete songs off the ipod.

it must be itunes as ipods were outfitted to flow with itunes, like the commercials? once you purchase your ipod also get carry of a disc which will load itunes onto your pc alternativly you may flow on the apple internet web site and get carry of it we are now as a lot as intunes 7.5 which i'm at present downloading at this 2d =)

well first things first, if you bought and apple product then you should use the apple software. wmp wont work with it well because its not designed to. if your gonna try to start doing that then your crazy, go return and get a zune. if not download itunes like everyone else in this world does who has an ipod.

You can't. You have to go through iTunes. But, there is a free download of the new version on www.apple.com
