Officials at the Kentucky Derby Museum, located on the Churchill Downs grounds in Louisville, Ky., said Tuesday they'd be "honored" if Barbaro were buried in a garden along with four other Derby winners.
"We've expressed to them how honored we'd be to have Barbaro here," Lynn Ashton, executive director of the museum, said. "We feel like we're bringing horses back to be honored."

The grave sites of Derby winners Sunny's Halo (1983), Carry Back (1961), Swaps (1955) and Brokers Tip (1933) are located outside on the museum grounds.

Barbaro will be imortalized at a place of his victory, how befitting, but Barbaro was also victorious in ALL the world.
ever hear of this? its from something called Memorial Service for a Horse and while I am not bible centered or jesus centered its is still beautiful when thinking of that inspirational soul named Barbaro
" I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I
have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing".

I am a big fan of the Kentucky Derby and Barbaro, very sorry for his loss he will go down as one of the greatest. What a Shame his trainer did not have him conditioned for the back to back races that led to this.

Yes i think he should lye in state with the other greats

Yes, that was nice. I just wish they could found a way to preserve Barbaro and retire the poor thing to a nice green pasture
