No the answere was not correct because 12:00:12 minus 11:55:26 would be 4min and 14 seconds. So, the ride was actually 4min and 14 seconds of thrills and spills.

5 minutes after 11:55 is 12:00, so 5 minutes after 11:55:26 is 12:00:26. if the ride ended at 12:00:12, then it fell short of 5 minutes by (26-12=) 14 seconds. the sign was inaccurate by 14 seconds.

The actual time on the ride is a little less than 5 minutes (4 minutes 46 seconds). Since signs usually do not list times in seconds and the ride is almost 5 minutes, the sign is accurate.
