Why do people hate white people so much?

I am white and I just sense a vibe of hatred from some (not all) Latinos and from Middle Easterns, as well as some African-American men. I don't sense this from African-American women or from Asians. I can't explain it, it's just a sense I get. Yesterday on the train I was being given by some hispanic guy this really dirty, mean look and I'm thinking "what did I ever do to him?" I live in an area in the Bay Area where it is mostly non-white people and I grew up here, so I'm used to it, but they just look at me shocked like they've never seen a white girl before whose teeth aren't falling out of her head. Do Latin people esp. want to see white people go downhill? Also I feel like because I am young and have been told that I am pretty this adds on to it, and also I am very short and skinny so I look kind of defenseless. Does this give them a reason to hate me? Do they think because I'm small they can stare me down since they think I won't do anything back?

I think I can help you feel better. I used to live in San Francisco for 2 years. Everyday i would take the Muni, sometimes the Bart, and I would walk on Embarcadero.

I noticed this too with people. People in San Francisco glare at each other. I don't know why they do that, I can only imagine they hate their lives and are unhappy. But yes I am asian american and I have been glared at with the most dirtiest look by my own race. I decided to move out of San Francisco, that city sucks!

When I used to live in Houston, a lot of hispanic men would glare at me for no reason. Perhaps they are just angry at the world and take it out on you. Perhaps they know that you are legal and they are not. Perhaps they are angry because they feel that you are better off then they are. Believe it or not, most hispanic people that come from poor areas of town believe that white people are rich, even though they are not!

It is believed that white people have a comfortable life and he may have just got off an 8 hour shift cleaning toilets and think you have money and he hates you.

I have come to learn that when someone glares at you, it's THEIR problem and not yours. People hate people and judge them all the time. I get judged constantly and I get a hateful glare everyday in North Texas. It wouldn't matter if you were 5'10, because my friend is that height and she gets stared sometimes too. I think people that stare hatefully are rude. Don't think you are the only one, just remember that you never did anything to them, and it's their issue. The men may be jealous because they feel you have a better life then they do, or it may be their culture which they feel that it's OK to stare, which it isn't (nobody taught them manners growing up).

If you take the MUNI bus in san francisco or the Bart you are kinda screwed because public transportation seats face each other . I would just take a book and read it so i won't make eye contact. People are rude pricks!! It's not you, it's them!!!!

Well, maybe we appear smug. I know that even though I don't judge people by their race or color (that comes from both my Christian upbringing and parents who opened their door to people of all races when I was growing up), I know I feel liberated and confident and comfortable in this society, which was, after all created by Whites. I think people of color might not have created a society quite like this one, and now that it seems unchangeable, they are stuck living in a society not made with their input. Most of the very rich are White, and they dictate change as well as how the lower classes can live. However, lots of people of color don't feel hateful towards Whites, maybe because they have strong family ties and were able to get ahead with hard work. They probably had to work alongside Whites (like me) who also had to work to survive, so they know we are all really in the same boat.

i think of femmnazis out of date. Their no patriarchy or white male privileg. Now feminism or femmist is the female faith. end calling it a flow. start up calling it a non secular flow. i think of now femmist want a matriarchal society. So for all races of adult men be scared. It like a non secular cult on campus. like all non secular flow in case you are trying end their way of stay yet combat their middle values then that makes the guy of that faith to combat greater good if their faith includes each little thing into their existence this includes feminist faith. You're projecting your own insecurities onto other people. Maybe the guy was giving you filthy looks because you were staring at him or maybe he'd just had a bad day. If you venture out thinking that a certain race of people don't like you then you will look for behaviour that proves it all the harder. I think maybe the prejudice lies in you. Think about it.
Oh and Trini, you've no right to accuse anyone of being racist with an answer like that.

I apologize for those Hispanics.But we are not all alike besides you said "Also I feel like because I am young and have been told that I am pretty this adds on to it" did they hear the person who said this to you? if so maybe they were just trying to see what they were talking about.

Oh its because people stereotype all whites as being racist, its no secret that there some very racist whites, some here on yahoo answers, and unfortunately they stereotype it as all whites being terrible, its not nice i know but just prove them wrong by being nice, don't stoop to their level. I dont like it when people become racist when others are because thats no excuse.

Judging from your other questions, you seem to concentrate a lot on race. Maybe you throw off that kind vibe when your around them.
