Do you need it this moment? Go for Core 2 Duo.

If you can wait, then in a couple of months the 4 cores will be out. Then you should go for one of those, or you could still get the same great Core 2 Duo at a significant savings. While its true that you will always get better equipment in 6 months to a year... right now they are getting ready for the 4 cores... so they will really be getting rid of the cores and the core 2's.

And btw I am an AMD fanboy.... but right now Intel is leading in performance. No contest.

isn't there vista.. use that.. atleast get something that is 120 gb. they are the best.. we have school laptops that are macs.. and only hold 30 gigs.. they suck soo bad.. so go with pc... lol even my zune holds more than my stupid laptop for school!

Go for the Duo2, with it you can do multitasking....
