There are several little white dots on the glass of the tank which, when you look closely are perfect spirals. What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Also, my clownfish is not eating. My other fish is eating, as is my shrimp. All water tests are good, and he looks to be in good health otherwise, and has been acting and swimming normally. Does anyone know why he may not be eating? I am feeding him his favorite food, and it still doesn't work.

The spirals on the glass are probably very small feather duster tubes starting - they can't distinguish glass from live rock (or the inside of your filter or skimmer for that matter!) Just scrape them off with a razor (or plastic algae scraper if your tank's acrylic).

If your annonia and nitrates test okay, your clownfish may be getting picked on by other fish in the tank, especially if he's new. Put some food in and back off to watch what happens.

I think these are baby hard tube feather dusters and are harmless filter eaters. I believe they get beautiful when they are older. Have a great year. How cool to have such an occurrence
