fertilization occurs in the falopian tube. once the egg is fertilized it becomes a zygote and travels down to the uterus. Once it gets there it implants into the uterine lining and becomes an embryo.

implantation can happen in the falopian tube and if left undiagnosed will kill the mother and fetus.

Fertilization occurs in the fallopian tubes, but ends up in the uterus. But i'm going to break this down to the best of my knowlege so you can understand.
Okay, when sperm enters the vagina, it makes its way to the egg that is released from the ovaries. It takes 3 days for the sperm to get there. during ovulation when the egg is released the sperm will permeate the egg and fertilize it and then it will travel into the uterus to grow and get nourished and will eventually develop into a zygote. But if the egg does not become fertilized, it still goes into the uterus, but there's a wall of water, blood, oxygen that builds up into layers and then you have your period and the walls break down and is discharged from the vagina... HOPE THAT HELPED... LOL.
