This site has links to a lot of farms in NC, most of them train and sell hunter jumper and dressage horses. Also, check the classifieds section on the page. Hope this helps.

What do you mean by English horses? Horses that are broke to be ridden in an English saddle? You may want to narrow down what breeds you're looking for. Some popular, affordable breeds are Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses and Morgans. I know you said you didn't want websites, but sometimes barns do list their horses for sale on sites like dreamhorse.com . Look for sellers with a few horses, or links to their farm's webpage. Also, search for lesson barns in North Carolina, a lot of times the instructors will sell horses or find horses for their clients and they may have some listed on their sites.
