In Heroes, who would win in a duel between Peter and Sylar?

I think Sylar would win because even if Peter absorbed all of Sylar's abilites, he would not only be inexperienced, but he could explode.

You had me up until you said explode.

If you listened to Mohinder the problem is the unstable nature of Sylar's powers. If Peter were to come into contact with such powers there is no telling how his paower would react to the situation, as a matter of fact you are watching each week what the experience has done to Peter.

Since meeting Sylar, Peter has been plagued by visions of him destroying the planet. The problem there is that Peter has never even met Ted and yet he has absorbed his power. How?

Peter is an empath, he feeds of others thoughts and emotions. Sylar is a psychotic, he sees these powers as a curse. It is only logical that Peter would see the world through Sylar's eyes and see himself destroying the planet.

However, Peter is at heart a well intentioned person so instead of rejoicing in his destuction of humanity he seeks to prevent it.

What is interesting to me is that at the Homecoming Sylar had the opportunity to kill Peter and didn't. Why not?

I think what happened with Matt also happened with Sylar to some degree. Peter's power creates a great amount of confusion in Sylar and any one who seems to be a mentalist.

BTW, it is interesting that he did not draw on Eden's power when they met. That should have given Peter a huge head ache.

At any rate Sylar has got to be avoiding Peter because it is likely that Peter's power makes him separate the powers he has assempled in his mind and that must be crippling.

Awesome question.

I think Sylar would win. Just because Peter mimics other peoples powers doesn't mean that he can control them. He would go to use one ability, end up using another and either hurt himself or someone else in the process.
