Could be several things, and Yahoo answerers aren't going to be able to help. She needs to see a doctor, either family doctor or ob/gyn. If she's read the pg tests correctly, it's probably only some kind of hormonal glitch or blockage. It's NOT likely to be menopause at her age. It could be more serious. In any case, worrying won't make it better, nor will waiting. Get her to a doctor -- it's probably nothing, but she needs to find out for sure.

If your mom is under any stress this can cause them to stop also if there has been any rapid weight gain or lose they could stop too.
The best thing is to get checked out at the doctors there's a simple horomone test that can be done to check if the menopause is to blame
good luck.

Menopause? My mum is 45 and has her periods spasmotically on/off maybe this month, maybe not, maybe heavy, maybe light, may start today, stop tomorrow, start in 3 days. Shes had it for a few years now. But your mum should go to a dr just to be sure!

She could be Peri menopausal! there is no set age for the menopause ( just an average) a blood test to check her hormone levels would be a start.

stress can cause missed periods but it could also be related to a hormone imbalance or the early menopause. Your mum should make an appointment to see her doctor

She should see a doctor, her gynecologist or an endocrinologist. It could be a number of things, such as stress, early menopause, tubal pregnancy or fibroid just to name a few. Tell her to give her doctor a call.

Get a test done at the Dr's then if it comes back negative have another one done to see if she has started the menopause, it could be the onset of it.
