I'm sure some people believe he is a highly principled president. I have heard that at least he stays true to what he believes and is not swayed by what others think... though in my opinion the president should be concerned with what the public wants.

He is an honorable man...and he had more money than he knew what to do with. Besides, if people think he's getting rich, their sadly mistaken. Any president makes about 400,000 a year, before taxes, and the Vice Prez about $280,000 a year, which is less than a rookie player makes for one short season; and the team doesn't even have to win them all. They still get paid.
Self gain? Have you seen him brooding yet? Nah...

I believe our president is truly a highly principled man. As far as money and self gain go he had more money than he could even count before he was elected. His decisions are a result of his high level of morality, his religious affiliations, and his desire to make this country the best it can be. Any mess left after his term will have to be on the shoulders of the newly elected majority in congress.

I think many people believe that Bush has used his office to the advantage of himself, the Buish family, and many of his friends. There are many good reasons to believe that. I don't believe that the personal gains these people have made are purely accidental.

all the republicans I know expect 2 don't like Bushy. Yes, he did use his Gov job for self gain! Which is wrong!
Funny principle, he was caught driving drunk while running for President the first time. It was released after he took office. Oh don't forget the keg parties too. Then there is him in college and the coke he did too.

Yes is very highly principled other wise he would not have upset the Dems so much. They hate him for that as they hate people they have to look up to,
