Will these parts complete a system, or have I forgotten something? And if it does complete a system, are these parts compatible?

Am I missing any cables, etc., and are any of these things incompatible with each other? Also, are there any better systems, around $400 or under? I already have a monitor, OS, keyboard, and mouse.

From what I can tell, this motherboard is a SATA based motherboard. This means that it is more designed for a Serial-ATA Hard drive. The motherboard does have 2 IDE connections on it, but one of these will be used for the CD drive. If you want a slight performance boost, you can go with a SATA hard disc. Sound and video are onboard, so no need for a video or sound card.... Other than these minor issues, this system seems to be in order.

Wish I had $400 to put into a computer. Then again the video card I want is about $400

Hope this helps you in your quest for a new computer.

Yep that looks like everything. The memory appears to be compatible with the motherboard. The heatsink and fan come with the processor (a couple details you usually need to check for).

The system should run fine with the parts you chose.
