1. Any length of car may drive from Omaha to KC.
2. The length of the drive depends on which route you take. Most direct is about 183.3 miles; should take you about 2 hours and 44 minutes. Let's say, instead that you want to check out a Cubs game and eat a hotdog in Chicago. Then your driving time alone would be 14 hours and 29 minutes, about 975.8 miles. If you wanted to go see the Petrified Forest in Arizona after you left Nebraska and before you got to KC, it would take you 43 hours and 31 minutes, for 3161 miles.
With gas prices being what they are, I think you might want to take the most direct route. :-)
3. The final consideration is how long the journey will feel. If you have two squabbling children in the back seat, it is interminable. If you have a good book on tape or a pleasant companion, it will be virtually instantaneous.

i live in omaha,ne and i heve relatives in kansas city, it takes about 3 1/2 hours

About 23 hours of actual driving time. The mileage is approximately 1350. Watch out for the troopers!!

i've done it in 57 minutes. but let me tell you, i was really late for a meeting... i was going about 135 mph the entire way in my '67 camaro. no kidding. i out ran a cop that chased me for about 20 miles...
