Are there any foods or drinks (not alcohol) that could cause a false negative?

The pregnancy hormone may not be concentrated enough in your urine for the test to pick up. Foods, drinks, and drugs, do not affect this. Try taking your test in the morning and pee in a cup, then dip the stick in for 5 seconds; it tends to be more reliable this way. And if you havn't missed your period yet it could be too soon.

no. you could however be testing too soon, or using too much urine or not enough. also dont try and drink a lot to make you have to pee because that doesnt let there be enough hormones in the urine.

it could also be a defect with the test.
