If you mean the question seriously, then the term refers to an athletic league composed of older colleges that have a reputation for excellent academics and elitism. If you're asking which Southern Colleges are considered to have high academic standard, I'd venture William and Mary (also an old school-- second oldest in the US, in fact), Duke, Emory, University of Virginia, University of North Carolina and Vanderbilt. I won't comment on that, but there are some schools called the "Southern Ivies"--while not actual Ivy Leagues, they're a great education.
