im 32weeks prego and we got a 4month old kitten today is it ok to have a cat as long as you dont change the litter box?

yeah. just stay away from the litterbox. Also, have the kitten vaccinated ASAP and have a vet examine it.

Okay...my doc said you are not to "handle" cats at all because of the disease you can get form the litter.....This made me very sad because I have 2 cats whom I love almost like children...I mean I seriously cried. So I decided to call the vet....the vet tech I talked to was 8 months pregnant...and had worked there the whole time. She said you just shouldn't change the litter and avoid their feet because the feet carry the germs. So anyway, that's what she said.

Yes its perfectly fine to have a cat. Like you said dont change the litter. Im 32 weeks with our 4th baby and we have always had cats.

Yes and make sure you wash your hands after you pet the cat. Also when the baby is born make sure the cat stays away from the baby. I have 4 cats and they did very well when we brought the baby home actually they were scared of the baby it was cute.

make your cat an outdoor cat and you wont have to deal with it
