If you hate some RPG games like Final Fantasy, would you like Oblivion for the 360?

I'm not a fan of RPG's, but I do like the more action rpg's like Diablo II... I absolutely cannot stand games like final fantasy, when you stop every 2 seconds to fight a battle...however, i've heard that Oblivion for the xbox360 is awesome, even if you don't like RPG's. Your thoughts/recommendations?

Oblivion is not like FF at all. It is real time, almost like a First Person Shooter with RPG elements. You play the game in First Person perspective and fight enemies in real time. There is no battle screen and no Turn Based Battle Bull. I hate the Final Fantasy games as well, but I love Oblivion. It is one of the best games ever made.

Final Fantasy = Japanese RPG (turn based)
Oblivion = Western RPG (action)

I have TES4: Oblivion (360). Although it's not as good as TES3: Morrowind (Xbox), it still kicks @**.
The action is all in real-time, like a first person shooter, except with swords, axes, bows, and stuff.
The enemies all move in real-time, and this game is HUGE. The sheer amount of stuff that goes on in this game is astounding. You have complete freedom over who you are and what you do.

This game is more addictive than crack. Any 360 fan should add this to his/her collection.

I don't really like ff games that much either but as for oblivion for the 360; i think you should rent it first and see if it's your kind of game, and if it's not then you know better than to buy it.(No commitments attached) =) I recently bought it and i love it! There's so much to do in it although at times it can get overwhelming.

I don't know man, I like final fantasy (the old ones the most), and I have played and owned Oblivion for 360. I just couldn't get into it. Try picking up NBA 2k7 or NHL 2k7, they will keep you occupied if you have xbox live.
