Look, the Arabs could use some help, sure. Every country could.
Is blowing up a country helpful?
Maybe Bush really wants to help, but I guarantee he wouldn't have touched Iraq if he didn't have a woody over killing Saddam.
More than about 9-11, more than about oil, to Bush this mainly was about revenge. Now for Cheney, sure, it was oil.

Well, to be truthful the middle east is backwards in many things. But it isn't because they're stupid, just surpressed...I guess. I really don't believe America needs their resources. We have enough of our own unexplored territory for oil in Alaska, especially. But the scientists here are working on alternative fuels. They had a new bit on that the other day.

The people of the middle east use religion within their government, and the US is a seperation of church and state. I think since Iraq had their first election for leaders of their choice, that some of the reasons we are there is to help the Iraq people. There is also women now in government positions. That was never allowed before. So, I truly think we did so some good over there.

Big problem is, is that every country wants to be top dog and you wanna know something? I just can't see the sense in it anymore. I don't understand why people just can't remain simple, living their own lives, raising their families, having wonderful time when they go somewhere. I guess being a product of the 50's puts one in a dream world today. It makes me so sad, too. Life back then was just so wonderful and carefree. Our parents had a way of creating fun for all of us even though we didn't have much. An income of $6,000 a year was rich. I could go on all night, but what's the sense. The world will always change and things just do not stay the same. Everyone wants to be #1 and have money flowing out of their ears to waste.

Clash of civilizations??? Yeah...sorta.
