Depending on how much music you actually have, go for the video iPod (not the nano of shuffle or anything else). 80gb is the biggest size in the video. They have a good battery life, especially if you don't watch video's on them (visual stuff sucks the life out of em). As far as user friendly, all iPods have the same basic layout (except for shuffles). It's very simple, easy to master. The 80Gb video would be your best bet if money isn't a concern.
Happy shopping

I have a colored iPod nano. it is 4gb which holds 1000 songs. The battery life is around 13 hours. I thnk this is the best way to go. But there are ones that will not hold as much song but still do hold a lot.

the latest ipods have the best battery life, but u can always download the latest ipod software, which helps extend battery life. fifth generation ipods would be the best. there are the 80 GB video ipods, the 30 GB video ipods, and the 8 GB ipod nanos. those would probably be the best for music or videos.

Hey, check this out and we both can get a free ipod nano:
http://ipods.freepay.com/?r=35260777
This is a genuine offer to get yourself a completely free ipod nano. It has been accredited by the BBC (see the video article here) and many people have got their Apple Mac’s through this and similar schemes.
Proof It Works. BBC News night feature on how it works, well worth watching:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/video/40101000/rm/_40101790_ipods_carver22_vi.ram
What to do:
Visit: http://ipods.freepay.com/?r=35260777
1.Sign up to the website and complete one offer ( I highly recommend the Screen Select / Lovefilm FREE trial, as it is a completely free 21 day trial with no obligations. Simply register, put in all your details, choose 15 movies, sit back and wait a few days until the giveaway site gives you credit - no need to pay a thing as it's very simple to cancel before your trial is up, and you even get free DVD rentals!)
2.Refer just 5 people to do the same for a 40GB . Ask friends & family, or make adverts like I am doing, and the referrals should rack up surprisingly quickly.
3.Then finally, Wait for your free ipod nano to arrive!!

None, get a Creative Zen. They've been in the sound buisness for forever. Plus iPod cases scratch easily and they're battery life quickly diminishes. Also iPods can only use one sound and video format which is very large and low quality whereas Zens can use several different formats.
Check them out:

I like the 30 GB. It's very user friendly, and the battery lasts awhile. I have 2500+ songs on it plus vidoes, and still have room to spare. The picture on the screen is really amazing.

80GB iPod Video.
iPod Nano and Video are 2 different models, the Nano can't play Videos, but the Video can. iPod Nano's come in 2, 4, and 8GB styles, which aren't nearly as much as a 80GB iPod Video.
PS: iPod Mini's have been discontinued for like a year now...

Avoid an iPod... Go for a Windows Media compatible MP3 player and avoid using iTunes altogether.... Tht way you don't have to worry about having someone else determin if you're allowed to listen to your own music

NANO 4 gb (rare red one that is available) If you want to store videos and pictures in addition to music files then I suggest the NANO w/ Video (much wider and bigger one) that has 60 gb.
