the reactions i have gotten have for the most part been favorable and accepting. i am very passable and do not draw undue attention to myself. i have just always felt more comfortable as a woman. how would any of you feel if i worked with you what would your reaction be and why? please be respectful and if you cannot be then please just dont answer.

Good for you - I know it took a lot of courage to do this. Actually, I'd try not to flirt with you if I worked with you but that is any man's reaction to an attractive woman!

Folks may be curious about what you feel - often this is such a different sort of phenomenon they don't quite know what to do or say initially. But after the surprise has worn off, I would imagine they will treat you as they did before.

Transgender issues are not accepted in the USA as readily as in other places but you are still you and you can change the way your co-workers perceive transgendered folks!

I would initially be shocked I'm sure, especially if I didn't suspect it at all to begin with, but after the shock wore off, I'd have no problem with it. The only time I ever have a problem with someone who has different beliefs or lifestyles than myself is when they try to force me to do the same. I'm a strong believer in doing to others as you'd have them to you and that is one thing I wouldn't do to someone and sure wouldn't want done to me.

considering my line of work, teaching, I would be shocked and so would the students... figure out your gender at a younger age and establish it before you try and "shake the borders" at work...
