I want to know how many saving bonds I can buy and how old do you have to be?

As long as you have a Social Security number, regardless of age, Savings Bonds can be purchased and issued in your name. There is no limit. However, when these bonds are cashed, you will have to report the interest/gain on your income taxes as income.
