It will never be an even decimal. The point six you get on your calculator will carry over into infinity, meaning that any answer you get with it will be ever so slightly wrong.
If you need to calculate 2/3 of something, and you can't cancel, then just double the number and divide by three. That's as close as you're going to get.

2/3 is not representable as a finite-length fraction. If you tried to write it out, it would be 0.66666666666... and so on, repeating 6s forever more. There is a notation for this where you write a six, then place a bar over it. Your best bet, however, is probably to leave it as a fraction unless you absolutely need a decimal answer.

Just do 2.3, because I had trouble with it once on a paper for school and I just put 2.3 and I got it right.
