I don't actually think that people are necessarily the highest class in life...those with the anthropocentral worldview would say so. While we have a refined sense of technology, we're also destructive, murderous, rotten with perfection, and the only species to create war.
I wouldn't say by any means that we're the highest class...but I guess I couldn't tell you what animal surpasses us.
