From a lawyer. No reason to major in political science unless you really like it and get good grades or you do not want to actually practice law and like academics. Law schools do not favor one degree above any other and you can enter law school with any degree . I majored in psychology and it seems to impress people who don't understand the insignificance of a B.A. in psychology. Majors that can help you depend upon what type of law and type of practice you enter. A degree in computer science would help you in the field of intellectual property dealing with computer companies. A degree in drama would help you as a trial lawyer. A degree in marketing would help you to get clients if you want to open your own practice and so forth.

Your law school curriculum will be different from almost anything you experience in your college coursework. Political science has some relevance to law school, but it won't really help you that much as a law student. Study what you enjoy as an undergraduate. A BS in biology will in no way hurt your chances.

Law Schools look for diversity, which covers more things than just ethnicity, social background, etc. If you majored in Poli Sci, you would be just like many other applicants. You would stand out with a Biology major. Minoring in Poli Sci is great, because it helps to develop good critical thinking and writing skills. Good luck.

It is a good major for law school, as are history and Classical studies. Biology won't be a major perk on your application, but if that is what you enjoy you should stick with it.

There are no required majors to get into law school... however, I would suggest Economics or Mathematics as they'll benefit you the most.
