It depends on how it feels for gym class, but i wouldn't. I hurt my ankle almost two months ago and its still swollen and bruised. Just rest, ice, compress and elevate. Pretend your big toes a pencil and write out the ABC's, and try to stretch it. You don't want to let it get stiff, otherwise it'll take longer to come back.

Sprained ankles are mainly soft tissue damage and in some cases can take 6 months to heal. Especially if there is also tendon involvement.
NEVER go to a chropractor, consult a sport physiotherapyst. these people are properly trained to deal with such injuries. Your sports will be tailored to suit your condition and you will receive proper treament for your injury.
The role of the doctor is to examine, diagnose ( via xray etc) and medicate for pain and let you rest it . The physio usually takes over from there. Chiros are a law unto themselves and have often been associated with quakery and methods that are unconventional and unmedical so i would avoid them at all cost.

Very few medico's including myself would consider sending a patient to a chiropractor,

Maybe you should see a chiropractor or another doctor.
You could wrap it when you do gym; lots of athletes do this when they have a joint problem. But don't do anything to hurt it.
