i cut my middle finger on a can lid of tuna and it hurts i took a shower and put soap on it so it wont get infected. then i put some antibiotic cream on it so it will fell better and put a bandade on it. what else should i do? am i doing the right thing?

you probably should have put on the antibiotic creme initially, but i think you'll be ok.
if it's a really deep cut, and it wont stop bleeding, you should go to the hospital to get stitches though.

some times when im out working and get cut i keep a cheap tube of gel superglue in the truck and dry the cut and quickly squeeze a dab of superglue into the cut and press it closed ui cut the side of my finger nail off almost and supergluied it shut and took some advil and went on , if this finger doesnt stop bleeding like after a night of being clean and bandadged then go get a stich or two

Your doing everything right, but....
You should remove that bandade, wash your hands, put some poroxide or alcohol on your wound, dry it a little, put antibiotic cream on, then put a new, long lasting bandade on.

Your finger is probably already infected. You can risk losing some $$$ at the doctor, or you can risk your life getting sepsis. Where do you live? You can go to an urgent care center, they are wayyyyy cheaper and faster than the emergency room at the hospital.

I have had many-a cut finger before...lmao...It sounds like ya did everything right...if it really hurts when ya bend it, but can't help it, then be ghetto: gauze & duct tape till its stiff...looks ugly, works great. Take it from the ghetto princess, lmao..And I'd try a pain releiver, which you probably already did....

yes, defenitly keep anti-biotics on until it closes up. Air out at night .. band-aid during the day , to avoid infection from dirt/bacteria : ) get well soon !!

you are doing the right thing but it will hurt because you just cut it so there will be some pain, if you can't take it anymore you should try some kind of pain meds.

Sounds ok to me. Make sure you clean it every day, keep it covered for a few days and I'd use some peroxide too.
