1. Wireless signals will not directly cause cancer. The core system comes with a wired controller, and you can buy one almost anywhere.
2. Most gamers say that the Xbox 360 controller is the best console controller (the Wii is a bit controversial). If you don't like it, chances are, you won't like the other ones either.
3. Practice with the aiming and it will become natural. Or you can play games like Halo, which has auto-aim (it draws the reticule close to the enemies). Was the mouse perfect when you first used it?
4. The only shooter you bought is Gears of War. Play more before you make a judgment.
Just note that no console can beat a high-end PC. The PC is for everything, and can produce better graphics than anything. The mouse also allows for freedom of movement. And, yes, you can hook up a 360 to your monitor.

Firstly, you can hook it up to your monitor if you like using a VGA cable, its possible. However if you do opt to buy a television, with its main function being to play your 360, the Samsung series are well known for going great together with the 360 (see source below). The console is wireless, yes, but cancer producing radio waves? No. And also the control is one of the most confortable controllers made, it fits into the hands very well, so stop complaining. Your a PC man, bets are you mostly play RTS (real time strategies) games of FPS (first person shooters), which is what the PC is all about! No point using a controller on those things, they just don't work..

As you said, you are a PC gamer, which means you probably have a nice monitor. The 360 can be connected to this via a VGA cable that can be bought online or at some retail stores. I love using my 360 on my 22" widescreen LCD as I get the 720p HD without owning an HD TV. As for the cables, you can buy wired controllers if you don't like the wireless, but if you just don't like the controller, you're out of luck as even though you can connect a USB keyboard to the 360, it can only be used for text input.
