I'm not interested, so how should I approach the situation?

When I've been in that situation, I respond to the flirting with a story about my husband. It tends to be a big turn-off.

You should let her know you're not interested. You don't have to be mean about it but being straightforward is best so that there are no misunderstandings. If you like her as a friend let her know that you still think she's a great person, just not in that way. If you think she's attractive you can even tell her that you're flattered, just make it clear that things aren't going anywhere or she'll keep hoping.

First, be sure that she's flirting with you. It would be embarrasing if you went up to her, accused her of flirting, and turns out that she was only being friendly.Once you have a confirmation.... ignore her. Flat out ignore her (unless it's about your work). She should stop. If that doesn't work just say that you're not interested in her and that she should find someone else who would appreciate her. That would let her off a little easier if you try to be kind.

She's one of those women who has no concept of "He's Taken, Hands Off." They're definitely out there. I've heard women say that they don't care if a man they're interested in has a lover or a wife, because that only makes the chase more exciting.

Just COMPLETELY ignore her, because as a man, the sexual harassment laws aren't on your side. If she escalates to the point where she's downright aggressive, consider changing departments so as to get away from the destructive little tramp.

Just drop some of these tantalizing tid bits about yourself. For example, did you tell her that you have 9 children - with your cousin? That your mom still packs a lunch for you? That you attend church twice a day? Finally, emphasize that you control the purse strings in all of your relationships and that you give your Significant Other an allowance - from the money that she/he has turned over to you. LOL! Have fun with it.

Just be forward with the co-worker and let her know that you are not interested.
Then she will just have to accept that as that.
If she continues and you are uncomfortable with the situation, then you may need to have a meeting with a supervisor and bring it their attention in the event she pulls a sexual harassment case against you in retaliation.

Alright. If somebody flirts with me and I don't give them any attention back, they quit flirting. If I aknowledge their flirting, they keep doing it.

Smile politely and keep on going. If she continues, just ignore. If it still happens, tell her your not interested.
