Actually, it's a weblog community. It's a place to post poetry, stories, or just journal entries about your day. People can comment on your posts, and you can comment on theirs.
Myspace is more "fun", but it's not a place to really vent or put up poetry or journals. Xanga is the place for that.
Just depends on what you like.
