I just had a baby and she is 1 month old now and I still have stitches from an episiotomy. I wanna know how long does it take for them to come out ?

normally these stitches dissolve over time.It may take another two weeks.

I just had a baby 5 weeks ago and had an episiotomy and i also still have my stitches. So dont feel bad girl cause youre not the only one. If they are not gone by your 6 week postpartum checkup then your doctor will let you know whats going on. :)

They will dissolve usually around 6 weeks they will be gone completely but could dissolve before then.

Ask your OB this question. They are the ones that sewed you up, and so they are the only ones that know what material they used and how long it should take your body to absorb them.

Mine were disolved by 8 weeks. It took a little longer than normal though.

usually after 2 weeks call your doctor and ask them when they should come out congrats on the new baby

Give lt a few weeks cause you have to wait until lt is safe to. you don`t want to rush lt and l know this is very uncomfortable. l had a sister who went through this and lt took her a few weeks.

i still had mine at eight weeks...then one day i found a piece in my panties and then two days later they were completely gone

I thought they would be dissolvable.....
