marriage is sacred divorce is hideous their totally opposites ;in fact people who are never married; should never listen to divorcees. Divorcees need to stay away from normal healthy relationships so they don`t contaminate the newlywed or new relationship.

Wow, that's narrow for those of us who have been dumped by our spouses. Kick us. We suck.

Wow, I think you have a very distorted view on divorcees. The implication you are making is that divorcess either are not normal and healthy and/or they have some sort of divorcee disease that will infect a good marriage.

From my perspective, this is a very naive view of the world.

Please understand, probably 50% of folks divorced did not choose to be divorced. It only takes one to get a divorce.

So your blanket statement that implies all divorcees are bad news is rather insulting and demonstrates a lack of deep thought about this topic.

Divorcees can be great sources of information. I can share everything I did wrong in my marriage. That information just may be useful to a newly wed couple, so they don't repeat my mistakes.

So I respectfully ask that you edit your question to reflect this newly obtained information.

If I had the choice, I would not be a divorcee, but would be one of the so-called "normal" people you mention. Sadly, my ex-wife decided, unilaterally, that she loved another man more than me, and that her vows meant nothing to her.

Her actions do not make me abnormal nor unhealthy, and I resent the implication otherwise.

It's in this forum because you can't have one without the other.
And you'd better wise up to reality. No one walks into a marriage full well knowing that within less than 20 years they will be divorced. If that were the case, who would marry?
The high divorce rates are changing the way people see "marriage." And some know that marriage IS NOT a bed of roses nor is it a fairy tale.

More than half of marriages in North America end in divorce, so you can figure that more than half of what people discuss regarding marriage involves divorce.

Instead of complaining about how terrible divorce is, you'd be doing something more constructive if you could help people develop relationship skills.

But it's easier to complain, isn't it? Bet your partner is overjoyed with that attitude--smile, have some fun.

because 50% of marriages end in divorce.
jsut because someone isn't divorced doesn't mean they're in a healthy relationship. divorcees can have healthy relationships, and we're not contagious. in your judgement of us all, did you ever stop to think of the reasons someone may get divorced? (abuse, addiction, infidelity, etc)

It's just too hot to wear clothes today," Jack says as he stepped out of the shower, "honey, what do you think the neighbors would think if I mowed the
lawn like this?"

"Probably that I married you for your money," she replied.
