I'm with you on this one. Martin Lawrence is my choice. He's better, faster, and funnier with a live audience. I think that's a real test of one's metier.

Martin Lawernce because he doesn't have that really arrogant jerky attitude that Chris Tucker has sometimes. I like a lot of Martin Lawernces movies like National Security.

Martin Lawrence is an experienced TV comic that had his own long running show.
This alone makes Martin Lawrence funnier than Chris Tucker.

I think Chris Tucker is much funnier. He has better timing and takes risks with the type of characters he plays.

Martin Lawrence is more diverse, plus he has the ability to role-play. He doesn't have to rely on a high-pitched voice for a gimmick, because the various voices of his self depicted characters range from the hoochified Shenaynay to the hideously comical Jerome "I said, Jerome's in the house"! Martin Lawrence has this one on lock, a better question would have been, Martin Lawrence or Eddie Murphy, because that's more of a comparison, based on their similiar styles.
