i plan to be sponsored by baker skateboards when i go pro which that won't be for a while. do you have to be just as good or almost as good as the pro. skateboarders on the baker skate team. i mean they have been pro. even before i started skateboarding. if you plan to be sponsored for the first time, do you have to be sponsored by a different new skateboard team. do you have to be about as good as everybody on the skate team

You can always get on the Baker am team but you still have to almost be as good as the pros on the team. You also have to have some kind of cool, zany, crazy personality to get on Baker. They always have the best skaters with the coolest punk personas. For some other skateboard companies that I won't mention you don't always have to be the best skater. Unfortunatley your image in pro skating is more important for these companies. This is what sells skateboards and sneakers. Not always your skills. Good luck.

To be sponsored you have to be REALLY good
If i were you, i would work my way up. Start by seeing if your local shop sponsors. Then when you get that, work your way to AM and then PRO
