In a way yes. Some people have a knack for making money and some have a knack for getting others to part with their monies. So yes, we will have the same people again. That can also be said of politics. It is my proposal that the same people would be in charge even if there is no system of election. That is to say if we had no democracy, Tony Blair would still be PM. These people are bent on it to say the politest.

I think that the key to understanding how wealth is created is to look at information.
The old adage 'money makes money' remains true, but in a different way. Say Bill Gates gives away most of his money, he still knows the CEOs of most major MNCs, he still can go to a bank and borrow money based on who he is.
Compare that with the homeless man who all of a sudden gets the same chunk of wealth Bill Gates is left with. He wouldn't know what to do with the money, or who to talk to about it.
Now it becomes worse when you think that that money is what a subsistence farmer in Rajasthan India also gets. What can he do with the money? He has no idea.
It's not education, but opportunities.
People n certain circles have access to information that people outside these circles do not. That is why venture capitalists get to know of the small companies who will generate 500% increase in value over the next 2 years. So they invest, wait, once the company goes public and the normal people buy shares, the growth is now 5% a year. The difference is information.
Of course it is possible for some entrepreneurs to break into these circles via their own wealth creation efforts, but these are few. Most people are forever locked out of these circles. Simply reallocating the wealth does not mean these circles will disappear.
In the long term, things would get back more or less to the same spot.
But if you want to make a difference, rather than giving everyone fish, make everyone able to fish so they can sustain themselves. Once information is readily available the world can change.
As a final note, please do not believe that the internet is that powerful. Most information is available in dribs and drabs, 'concealed' in specialised websites that do not pop up on Yahoo or Google for example. And it takes considerable effort to piece together a coherent view for the people outside the circles. Furthermore, internet access is not universal... Those in the circles get the info over dinner parties and social gatherings, they don't need the internet.

if everyone had the same amount of money the economy would fall apart. there wouldnt be anything like povery or wealth (or would there)
would everyone be equally poor, or equally as rich.
the world thrives on peoples misfortune and being poor, hence the banks make interest of mortgages, loans etc, and the rich make interest on savings and investments.
eventually everything would turn out similar. ie rich poor divide - but thats all down to how the individual uses there new found wealth

I think it would just go back to the way it started. People, I'm not saying everyone, but most people are really greedy. They might just come up with different ideas to take someones money and keep it for themselves. And there are also people that like to donate money to different places so that would make money uneven also..
