Hi, My Canon Pixmas MP110 is showing error message "CHECK PRINTER (5200)" and red "Alarm" light is blinking. It also showed low black ink which I have just replaced with a refilled cartridge but it is still showing the error. I tried disconnecting power cable and reconnecting but did not help.

Normally when I change the cartridge it comes up with a message saying something like, "Did you change black ink? Yes/No?", but it has not done it this time.

How do I fix this?

Thanks so much :-)

It seemed to help the person who asked the question.

The correct procedure for MP110 is as follows:

1) Enter SERVICE MODE By pressing Menu-Scan-Copy-Scan
2) Enter NVRAM by presing <--- or ---> then OK
3) Enter CMY ink level by pressing <--- or ---> then OK
4) Select 1 by presing <--- or ---> then OK
5) Enter K ink level by presing ---> then OK
6) select 1 by presing <--- or ---> then OK
7) Press reset ( design: // )
That's all.

You can even see how much pages you printerd and scaned by pressing <--- or ---> in the Service menu and selecting COUNTER ACCESS!!!!
