If you don't know, decade day is a day at school where all the students dress up in cloths from their favorite decade. I want to do the 70's or 60's, but I need ideas for my costume. I can't buy anything but I can use the stuff around the house and/or my moms old stuff. I don't know if my mom kept it though..?

if you wanna go the hippie route, you need flare-leg jeans, shoes with some height (short platforms would be good), sunglasses, mismatched shirts, at least one in a mellowed out tie-dye (like it's been through the wash a bazillion times), bracelets, a couple rings (the gaudier the better, and if you have a mood ring, perfect!) and some necklaces. Peace symbols would be good. And be sure to wear your hair long, preferably with some sort of headband, like a scrap of cloth, or a necktie.
If you wanna go the 60's schoolgirl route, you need kneehigh stockings (real stockings) a knee-lenth skirt, a polo shirt perhaps with some sort of cardigan or blazer. Wear your hair up in a pony tail, curl the whole thing with a big curling iron so your ponytail bounces, and make a ribbon bow over your ponytail holder. Saddle shoes or mules work well for shoes.

Well for 60's wear bell bottoms(jeans with flare at the bottom)and a tye die shirt or a VERY flowery shirt...THE 70's do the same cuz it was a rip off
I remember decade day but we did the 50's then the 60's so on and so fourth we didnt get to choose which decade.My fav was the 80's.!

The best, easiest, adn cheapest way would be to go 60's. I'd wear some falred jeans, and a leather belt, with a nice flowerish or tye dye tshirt. You probably have these things already. Wear your hair down long, and scrunch it if its curly. Also, if you can, pick up a nice braided leather headband from walgreens.

You can either do the earth mama hippie look or the disco queen look (like in Austin Powers). I'd advise sticking with one or the other. Find out which one your mom was--she's probably the best source of advice you could get!

leave ur hair out and try to get it to flip at the ends/ then to wear...definitely bell bottom pants, a bright colored shirt and an old jeans jacket! that should work i love the 70's too.

Pajama day it is comfy and casual!Celberaty day dress like a SUPERSTAR! 1 color day you must dress all in i color.Backwards day wear all of you clothing back wards.Oppisite day dress in oppisite colors(if you wear a yellow skirt than you have to waer a purple shirt).Around the world day where you must dress like people from around the world!

wear jeans ...and if you have a pretty dress you can wear over the jeans ...put your hair in two braids...and throw up a peace sign ...and youll be just fine

tye die your own shirt that will be oversized and some clogs and bell bottoms also wear braids.for60's
