to all the "ladies" asking if they are pregnant:

I'm just currious where were you when they passed out and/or taught sex education in school? if you answer this with a they haven't told us anything, then you'd better do something about it!

Have you ever thought of buying a pregnancy test, there only a dollar at the dollar tree store? From what I hear from other Y/A chicks is that they're reliabe.

And finally if you need to know how to figure out if you're pregnant or not then YOU ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING READY FOR SEX AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL YOU KIDS WHO ARE NOT GETTING THE PROPER EDUCATION IN SCHOOL.

Stupid Bush, obviously teaching abstidence isn't working . . .

Sorry if I sound rude, but damn! I knew this stuff in elementary school in the 80's. Back then they cared more I guess . . .

I think it is because they are wanting some one to spark ether excitement or fear in them. Bush and sex ed have nothing to do with it. Teens are required to take health class. They learn all about the birds and the bees. If you want to blame somebody then blame Hollywood. Their the one responsible for making things seem so dramatic.
Have you also considered the fact that most teen pregnancies are from poverty struck teens? Maybe that's because they don't have money to go out to the mall, movies, arcades, etc. They sit around and get board, so what do they do? They need move after school programs and community projects to keep these kids busy. If your so worried about it then why not volunteer to be a mentor?

i completely agree with you on most parts but i also think that the schools can do much more to help this situation. I became a mother at the age of 17. I will not lie it was hard but i did it. I graduated high school( regular old public high school) at the top of my class, and went on to a good college. I am now married and have three beautiful little girls, and i am now pregnant with my fourth child. When my oldest daughter was young i started a group with other teen parents and we went around to area high schools and spoke the raw and honest truth about being a teen parent. We covered things teacher were afraid to talk about in health class. And you know what it really does help when they see how hard it is and what you have to sacrifice. The teen pregnancy rate has dropped dramatically in our area since this program was set up in 1999. Maybe some of these people complaining about these young ladies should step up and speak out and teach them something instead of criticizing for their innocent ignorance.

Bush will not ever let his people say global warming..what makes you think he wants to teach all those words about S E X to the girls...
I know i was thinking the same thing.
I am willing to give everyone of the girls that answer this
a thumbs
up if they just admit they they just did not want to spend the 1 - 10 dollars on one.

Then again...we did not save them any money...they still have to go to the Dr. or buy the test to know for sure.
Do they think we can see the baby in there through the Internet
.
Oh wait they have not be taught where the baby even is..

.one girl, not on here, wanted to know "how the baby was going to get out of my STOMACH...through my mouth"?

OMG where are their mothers?

sometimes girls or women for that matter, are on birth control that may mess up their period or they may not have it at all so they want to know from other peoples experience if they are pregnant or not, or maybe they are just too embarrased to go to the store to buy a test, I know its lame, but its true and remember that there are some people on here that are actually trying to get pregnant. be a little optimistic! I know that there are a lot of young girls that shouldnt be having sex, but it happens so heres my little rant~ guys, be a little less pressuring when it comes to sex and maybe there wouldnt be so many teen pregnancies, and girls, remember that you are still young and you want to live life so say no! even if you "love him" because if you really love each other, he will respect your wishes.

I agree with you, well all except the Bush part. I went to high school about ten years ago and they were only allowed to teach us abstinence. I live in the Bible Belt and that's all they were allowed to teach us (yes I went to public school.) My point is since when did it become all the schools responsibility to teach our children about sex? I think majority of it is the parents faults. If the parents know that the school is only teaching abstinence, isn't it also their fault for not educating their children?

I completely agree!

As an aside....My junior high had sex ed. and showed a very disturbing video called the Miracle of Life, I think. In high school, our junior high merged with another who didn't watch this video. Throughout high school, all of the girls who got pregnant had never seen this video. I still know people who cringe when they think of it.

I totally agree with you. It baffles me to see young girls still in high school who can barely spell asking questions about possibly being pregnant. I don't know what society has come to. Any right-minded person would just go to the store and buy a pregnancy test, instead of asking on here if they are pregnant. Duh!!! Or better yet, use your medical insurance and take a blood test if you need a second opinion.

OMG you so read my mind, it's like every day I log on I see 4-5 "am I pregnant questions" I mean why are you asking us, go to the store and buy a test or call your doctor and ask him/her, we are bored people trying to pass a few minutes away before that accounting meeting or waiting for the cable guy or whatever, we aren't here to debate if you are pregnant or not, sheesh.

I'm with you. Instead of asking a bunch of strangers if they think you're pregnant, go to to drugstore, spend the $11.99 and find out.

Oh, and it seems like people are afraid of sex education because it's going to cause rampant orgies or something. Seriously, learning about it, seeing an ad for condoms, or watching Dylan & Brenda do it on prom night DID NOT make me run out and screw the first boy I saw.

Arm your kids with knowledge and I think everyone will be pleasantly suprised.

at least there is one advantage to young women having babies...there is another generation of uneducated cheap labor coming in 18 years that will be willing to work for minimum wage or fight the next war, and will have little opportunity because their mother didnt think about how to care for them before having them. its sad.
