I just found out at my part time job the the "new" owner put in a microphone in the middle of the store on top of already having the cameras there.

i am assuming you meant "without" your consent. if it was with your consent, there would be no problem at all.

unfortunately, you have no expectation of privacy at work (except for in the bathroom).

dont do and say stuff at work that you dont want to be recorded.

The technical answer is NO. Of course, it will take you thousands of dollars to fight it in court, so it is up to you. However, that kind of person will stop at nothing, so I suggest you get back out on the job market and find a replacement for that boss of yours!

Yes, unfortunately you do not have any expectation of privacy. He could not put one in a bathroom though

Nowadays they can do whatever they want! Including taking your job to another country. Isn't NAFTA grrreat!

they can put them anywhere except the restroom or changing rooms
