the youngest person to win a competitive oscar was Tatum O'neal,
she was just under 10 and a half and she won for best supporting actress in Paper Moon

however shirley temple received a honorary oscar just before her sixth birthday, tatum o'neal really.

a competitive oscar is one where there are 4 or 5 nominees and they do the whole, opening of the envelope and "the oscar goes to....."
you know

but they used to give out honorary oscars, i don't think they do anymore though
there are no nominees, they just give it too you.
