Yeah. All you need to do is plug your new one in. I did that too from a mini to a video. Go to your Devices section and click sync songs to...(and your new ipod)

I believe that the songs will remain in your iTunes Library, yes.

Yep. Not as hard as it sounds, but put in the new iPod serial # and download them. Of course, there are many steps in between.

most likely maybe not, but what u can do is export ur playlists to a folder in ur computer and then import them to ur new ipod, this is da safest way to do this...
