u could have just tested too early... the pregnancy hormones will double every couple of days... take another one in a few days to a week, and if the line is darker, ur pregnant... u can also go to www.peeonastick.com and compare ur test to other woman who have posted their positive tests... good luck!

The pregnancy test I took said that the lines can be really light or really dark, but as long as you could see the lines, it was accurate. One of the ones I took was dark, the other one was light, but you could still see it.

Several doctors I spoke to said home pregnancy tests are very very accurate, and will very very rarely give a false positive (they have more chance of giving a false negative). They actually said that if it showed up as positive (I took 2 different ones), then I was pregnant, and not to even come in until I hit the 8 week mark.

Try a different brand if you're having trouble with that one.

A line is a line but make sure it isn't an evaporative line. Those lines are the lines that look like it could be aline but there isn't. Its just where it would show up. Did the line have any color to it? If it did then you are preggo!! Wait a couple days and take another one. But if it is aline no matter how light it is, it's positive. Good luck!!

I think even a faint positive is still a positive. But some tests have time limits, and become invalid after that time. So if the line showed up after that time limit, I wouldn't trust it. I'd get a blood test from the doctor, to know for certain.

no, it doesn't matter how light the line is. if it's there, it's positive. Just to make sure, I would wait a day or two and take it again. But those tests don't usually make false positive results. If you want to make real sure, call your Dr. and they can confirm with a blood test.

Probably positive, but you tested the second HcG showed up in your urine. Test again to be sure, but I would say you are pregnant. The test tests for the presence of the hormone, if it is there, even a little, then it is there and you are pregnant. If you had to look that hard, it may have been your imagination.

nope, a line is a line. Take it from someone who went and bought 4 more tests after a faint line, peed in a plastic cup and used all 4 at once. You're pregnant baby!

any line at all is a line whether light or dark. If you feel insecure about the results, repeat the test with a new one this week.

Not at all! I almost made this mistake myself >>> When i took 4 tests the positive line was VERY faded and this kept me doubting so i went for the clear blue and this showed me much better. I learned that if the line is there ITS POSITIVE!!
Congratulations huni
