The Scriptures help Christians to recognize that it is wise to consider physical sustenance (though of course materialism is wrong). A Christian who does so is hardly "judgmental".
Even a godly person has the right to consider practicalities in their choice of a marriage mate. The Scriptures contain good counsel to help one improve one's personality, deal with loneliness, have practical success, and prepare for marriage.

They're judgemental because their religion dictates it. At the end of the day the Jehovah's Witnesses as the same as any other religion/cult. They are all about money and the acquisition of it under the guise of 'religious order' Besides most women would want to marry a man with 'prospects' - stands to reason doesn't it?

You have so many questions about Jehovah's Witnesses.
Are you the guy that they told that to?
I mean what women wants to date a guy for a serious relationship that doesn't have a job?
I know I wouldn't. So get a job. We all want to go to heaven or paradise or what ever. But right now we have to pay the bills and I don't want to support some man who won't work because he is going to heaven. Hello=== your not there yet and the rent has to be paid.

The answer is these people are wacked, like most main religious belief systems into thinking there is some big reward system at the end of their mortal life, when all that is out there is non-existence. A physical Armageddon would at best not occur for tens of millions of years when our sun finally goes to a Red Giant stage; until then unless GW Bush accidentally trips over a WMD in Iraq, I think the Jehovah's Witnesses can all stop obsessing over the end of the world. In point of fact, what did they think they would do when they reached Heaven? Exchange resumes and compare golf scores? Your friend should tell those two ladies to go get bent and pick a different church.

every one should care about their future partner's qualities...not just Jehovah's Witnesses.
and what does that have to do with armageddon? that's like saying, well, armageddon's almost here...why do i even bother with a shower?
a man should be responsible and capable head of house. he would be failing his wife and his family if he just lazed on the couch all day (and this would be for anybody).
personally, i would not judge a person on their job, per say (unless they were an assasin, or a pimp or something like that), i think we have all been between jobs at one point or another. but the attitude of "well, the world's gonna end soon, so why bother" would be a little disheartening.

I am no Jehovah Witness but am certainly fussy about who I would want as a partner. I consider that I owe that much to myself.
As for Armageddon - I guess they would want to share it with someone they respect and trust - nothing wrong with that.

They're judgemental because there is no "dating". There's courship for marriage. You don't get to make mistakes, really. Also, I'll fix the question for you: "Why are Jehovahs Witnesses so judgemental?"

Those are personal preferences given by two individuals and does not represent the entire organization.

They've been predicting Armageddon since the sect was first started by Charles Taze Russell in 1872 and when the predicted date arrives they change their tune. They believe only 144,000 chosen believers will survive to reign with Christ in heaven ..yet they still try to recruit more people.
Nice people, misguided but harmless.

I don't know but you're right they are very judgemental period. One of my best friends is JW and she acts like she's not judgemental but there are certain things that she says or questions that she answers a certain way that just proves that she is or at least her religion is.
