If I'm doing barbell squats should my back feel fatigued? I keep my back strait, but it still feels funny. How can I improve this so it doesn't get worse later on. I place the bar on my upper back, not any higher. So what is the problem?

Maybe too much weight. Try to be smooth with your motions.

It can be better to do more reps with lighter weight than to try to use heavy weights.

Or you might just need to rest it a little until it heals.

Talk to a trainer and have them watch you lift to see if they can spot and issues in your technique
