I think most everyone else missed the question. It's not, where there dinosaurs. It's how are we sure that they ROAMED the earth. That's a difference with a distinction.

And the answer is ... .. .. we're not sure. They *might* have mostly stayed near one place, within a few 100 miles. On the other hand, the same types of dinosaurs (that is, their fossils), have been found 1000's of miles apart. But since any one type of dinosaurs were around for 100,000 of years, or even millions, perhaps they migrated slowly -- just a few dozen miles every generation.

Let's see...... bones, foot prints, eggs, nests- I'm sure the list can go on. Pick up a National Geographic and watch the Discovery Channel there is more than enough evidence to prove that Dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Well scientists have found skeletal remains and done lots of tests and reached a conclusion that they belonged to a species millions of years ago that no longer exists. They named them dinosaurs because dinosaurs didn't have names back then.

When people first came across bones of the mastodon, they thought it to be the bones of giants with one eye, ( since the nasal opening was so large) and they came up with some of the silliest stories, just read the bible
